Out of all the products we reviewed in 2011 some of my favorite were Solid State Drives. So many companies have pushed the envelope when it comes to transfer speeds we were very impressed with almost all of the solid state drives we reviewed in 2011. There were a few drives that really stood out to us and that is what you will find on this list. Keep in mind that this list is comprised of drives that we have reviewed only. Read on to see what our favorite solid state drives of 2011 were!
OCZ RevoDrive 3 (Review)
OCZ’s RevoDrive has been a very unique and interesting product since we saw the first version of it back in 2010. What OCZ has done with the RevoDrive is take solid state drive transfer speeds to the next level by eliminating the SATA bottleneck and using a PCI-E interface. Not only have they done that they have basically placed 2 solid state drives on the card and have them running in a RAID configuration for the best speeds possible. So what type of speeds are we talking about? In our testing we scored a read speed of 996MB/s and a write speed of 903MB/s in ATTO Disk Benchmark! Almost to the 1GB/s mark! OCZ does have a RevoDrive 3 X2 that has 4 drives on one card and that drive does break the 1GB/s mark, but we did not have the chance to review it. If you are looking for one of the fastest solid state drives available the RevoDrive X3 from OCZ is it!
Kingston HyperX Solid State Drive (Review)
Kingston is mainly known for Memory and their first jump into the solid state drive market with the SSDNow Series of drives did not make that much noise at all. We all know the HyperX line of products as being Kingston’s high-end products so it was about time we got a HyperX solid state drive. The first thing that I said when I saw the drive was, “Damn that is a sexy drive!”, it is really is why its brushed aluminum finish and blue accents. But besides just looking great it does perform good as well. In our testing we scored a read speed of 559MB/s and write speed 525MB/s in ATTO Disk Benchmark. With these speeds it is the fastest 2.5-inch SATA 6GB/s drive we tested this year! Kingston sent us the upgrade kit which comes with a desktop mounting bracket, external USB enclosure, Acronis migration software, blue SATA 6GB/s SATA cable and a pretty nice screwdriver. This is everything you will need if you are upgrading from a normal SATA drive. Also surprisingly enough the upgrade kit and and standalone drive are the same price!
Corsair Force Series GT Solid State Drive (Review)
You know only a few years ago Corsair was only really known for memory and now look they have products in many different categories, but not only that their products are in the top of many of those categories. For example the Corsair Graphite Series 600T case made it into our Best Cases of 2011 list! It is really great that Corsair is taking the time to produce quality products. We’ve seen so many companies try and branch out and they make sub-par products or just release OEM products under their own name. The Force Series GT is Corsair’s fastest SATA 6GB/s drive. In our testing we scored a read speed of 557MB/s read and 513MB/s write in ATTO Disk Benchmark. Besides just the fast speeds the drive is a very attractive red color. The Force GT is also one of the most affordable drives out there, the 120GB version goes for $199 online, whereas other 120GB drives are around $230-$250.

November seemed to go by so quite quickly. I can’t believe it is already December! That means in just a little over a month we will be in Las Vegas for CES! It seems the weather has not been that bad at all here in Pittsburgh, we’ve only got snow once! This past month was another great one for us. Packaging
Like all Antec cases, the Eleven Hundred comes in a high quality package. The typical Antec color scheme, yellow and black, covers the package. On the front of the package is a close-up, angled view of the top/front of the case along with the product name and Antec25 logo. The back of the package covers the features of the case, all of which have pictures about them.

Two limited-edition Nintendo 3DS bundles are set to go on sale for Holiday gift shoppers this week. The first bundle is packing the new Super Mario 3D Land game and a Flame Red Nintendo 3DS system. Research In Motion has announced two new BlackBerry 7 OS based smartphones which are scheduled to be released by various carriers around the world in the coming weeks. HP is set to release its first business Ultrabook portable computer in time for the holidays. The HP Folio13 Ultrabook will be available in December starting at $899.99, offering a light (3.3 pounds) and thin design with up to 9 hours of battery life. Measuring less than 18 millimeters thin, the HP Folio13 features an ultra slim 13.3-inch diagonal HD BrightView display and it comes equipped with a backlit keyboard, a 128 BG solid-state drive, RJ-45 and USB 3.0 ports, an HP TrueVision HD Webcam, and Dolby Advanced Audio.
The HP Folio 13 Business Ultrabook is powered by the latest Intel Core processors, and it is available with Windows 7 and Windows 7 Professional operating systems. This Ultrabook also includes Intel Rapid Start Technology for quick start-up of the system, and HP CoolSense technology is onboard to cool the portable notebook.

That's right, they'll have some one cent deals for Motorola Atrix, Samsung Infuse, BlackBerry 9810, HTC Inspire and LG Thrill smartphones while supplies last, with free shipping and waived activation included as well.

Belkin has announced its new LiveAction Camera accessories for iPhone and iPod touch devices. They include the LiveAction Camera Grip and LiveAction Camera Remote, new tools that make it easier to snap photos and record video. Using the LiveAction App, you can then share your digital images directly on Facebook or email by following the intuitive on-screen interface. The app also allows you to capture still photos and record video simultaneously. In fact, Belkin says that the LiveAction App, available for free at the Apple App Store, can be used alone as the primary camera app for the iPhone and iPod touch, in case you don't want to spend money on the gear.

The HP ENVY line of notebook PCs have been revamped with the new HP ENVY 15 and HP ENVY 17 sporting an all-metal chassis design with rounded edges in a black and silver finish, and the new HP ENVY 17 3D offering a 3-D visual experience on a notebook PC. Notable features on these laptops include a new HP Radiance LED Backlit keyboard, as well as enhanced audio with six speakers and a subwoofer powered by Beats Audio technology.
The ENVY 15 (starting at $1,099.99) and ENVY 17 (starting at $1,249.99) notebooks are available with Intel Quad Core and AMD Mobility Radeon HD graphic processors, and with optional Radiance Full HD Infinity displays in 15.6-inch and 17.3-inch diagonal screen sizes. Both models also have support for HDMI and full-size DisplayPorts, and ENVY 17 also offers an advanced option with support for a 128-gigabyte mSATA SSD and up to two 1-terabyte hard drives. Battery life is very good on the new ENVY laptops, the ENVY 15 boasts up to 9 hours of battery life, while the ENVY 17 offers up to 9.5 hours.
HP's new ENVY 17 3D stars at $1,599.99 and offers all of the features as the ENVY 17, but adds 1080p full HD viewing, and improved viewing angles and color gamut for all 2-D and 3-D content. This system comes with HP 3D Active Shutter Glasses.
Integrated into the new HP ENVY notebooks is HP Wireless Audio, which is said to enable you to stream uncompressed audio to up to four external devices or directly to any KleerNet device. The thumb-sized dongle attaches to any PC and the tiny receiver attaches to speakers through its two analog or two digital ports. HP Wireless Audio is expected to be available mid-December for $99.99.

The RAZR Fit Driver and RAZR Fit Fairway Woods both feature Callaway's renowned OptiFit® adjustability system—designed for easy use and noticeable changes in trajectory for each of the settings. TradeDoubler, the leading pan-European digital commerce company, has seen a strong start to Christmas trading, with seasonal sales over the first 10 days of December up 26 per cent year on year. Despite the backdrop of the Eurozone crisis and threat of global economic recession, it seems that consumers across Europe are still preparing for a merry Christmas.
Computers and electronics is one of the key sectors ahead of Christmas, and so far, sales in December are up 23 per cent on last year.
"Demand for smart phones and tablets across our European network is very strong and one of the main drivers boosting sales in this sector," said Urban Gillström, CEO of TradeDoubler. "Indications are that tablets are currently outselling smartphones with over 40,000 sold during Christmas trading so far - an eight fold increase on this time last year."
'Mega Monday' (5 December) saw online sales in the shopping and retail category increase by 33 per cent on last year, while health and beauty purchases leaped by over 200 per cent across the TradeDoubler network.
"We reach around 70% of the online population in Europe, which gives us good insight into changing consumer behaviour patterns and a unique understanding of what people are buying," Gillström added.

Available for $4.99, Uncle Slam himself is pitting president against president in gentleman's boxing. His quest begins to find the leader of all leaders who is worthy to take up the mantle of "Uncle Slam."
Ding, Ding, Ding... Round 1
The idea for Uncle Slam was originally conceived by Handelabra's development lead, John Arnold, during Apple's World Wide Developer's Conference. The not-so-famous quote from a conference speaker that led to the Uncle Slam concept was, "You need your art style to be consistent. You can't have Abraham Lincoln sporting a pink Mohawk." Challenge accepted.
Round 2
From there, the concept became a boxing-style game that puts a fun spin on United States history. Players choose from nine presidents with interesting facts about each one, such as William Howard Taft being the largest man ever to be president. This comes in handy when selecting which president to use in battle. Through the coming months, Handelabra plans to add every president to the roster via In App Purchase.
Round 3
Handelabra first showed off a prototype of Uncle Slam to gamers at PAX East in March 2011. Because of the positive feedback from players, the Handelabra team decided to fully develop the game. Each character has a distinctive fighting style based on their physical prowess. They also have a unique "Presidential Power" designed to reflect something significant from their presidency or folklore. For example, George Washington will use a cherry tree to damage an opponent.
Knockout Punch
Uncle Slam offers both a great, local multi-player mode as well as single-player campaigns for each president to complete on their way to ultimate victory.
