Samsung's 17-inch Series 7 Chronos Notebook priced at $1,499 (as of May 2012) is a multimedia monster, equipped with a 3rd generation Core i7 CPU, 8GB of RAM and Nvidia GeForce GT 650M graphics card. It features a screen resolution of 1920 x 1080 with three JBL speakers that include a sub-woofer. This notebook surely is designed to be an all-purpose home entertainment system.

However, the Chronos doesn't have a dedicated SSD. But Samsung has included an 8GB express cache that speeds things up when accessing files. Samsung's Fast Start technology promises to cold boot the system in 19 seconds and wake it from hybrid sleep in just 2 seconds.
